List of tallest buildings in the United Kingdom : ウィキペディア英語版 | List of tallest buildings in the United Kingdom
This is a list of the tallest buildings in the United Kingdom. As of August 2015 there are 57 habitable buildings in the UK at least tall - with 44 of these in London, four in Manchester, two each in Birmingham and Leeds, and one each in Brighton, Liverpool, Portsmouth, Sheffield and Swansea (the only structure outside of England). If all under-construction and approved buildings are actually built, this figure will nearly double to 110. The Shard (formerly known as Shard London Bridge), in Southwark, London, is currently the tallest completed building in both the UK and the European Union; it was topped out at a height of in March 2012, inaugurated in July 2012 and opened to the public in February 2013. The UK has not been noted historically for its abundance of skyscrapers, with the taller structures throughout the country tending to be cathedrals and church spires. Despite this, since the mid-20th century the number of high-rise apartment buildings and office blocks in most large British cities has grown significantly. In recent years there has been a boom in the number of skyscrapers proposed and approved for construction in the UK, particularly in London. ==Tallest existing buildings==
This list includes buildings under construction that have already been topped out, in the UK that stand at least tall. Architectural height is considered, so masts and other elements added after completion of building are not considered.
